Using CCTV equipment to locate our custom made sealing packers
we are able to isolate individual joints in pipework from 100mm
to 1500mm diameter.
Then by applying air pressure the joint can be tested. Should a
joint fail, a two part acrylic gel is injected at water viscosity
through the leak into the material surrounding the pipe thus saturating
it and displacing any water.
The gel cures in a few seconds to form an elastic and cohesive
seal around the fault, stabilising the ground so balanced loadings
are restored.
This technology can be used to seal infiltration in pipes and
underground chambers such as manholes and lift shafts even when
the water is entering at pressure.
For severe leaks or partial collapses we often also include a localised
structural repair for extra stability.
